Superhumans smash targets and raise thousands

16 Apr 2019

The past few months saw heroes from Manchester and Brighton train through dark winter nights and cold wet mornings to compete in the Brighton and Manchester marathons! Nine incredible superhumans from INTO University Partnerships ran in the races to raise money to help schoolchildren through INTO Giving, raising nearly £6,000 ($7,850) and counting!

Matthew Spragg, INTO Manchester, finished the Manchester Marathon in just over three hours on Sunday 7th April. Among the 10,000 participants, Matthew finished with the speediest of them all!

Eight INTO University Partnerships runners also took their places in the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 14th April. Carlos Erdodi, Chaz Parvez, Wenwen Liu, Ben Scammels, Jessica Saunders, Yousuf Hindess, Hind Nemmassi and Jorge Guixeras, showed what they were made of when they took on the epic seaside challenge. The second largest marathon in the UK, Brighton Marathon suffered biting temperatures but the sun still shone and the INTO Giving team of eight completed the race in incredible times and all with smiles on their faces every step of the way!

A huge thank you goes out to all our marathon runners, to everyone who sponsored them, and to those who came out to support them in Manchester and Brighton!
