Brighton Marathon 2018

Chicken outfits at the ready!

...not all superheroes wear capes

17 Apr 2018

The incredible INTO Giving Brighton Marathon team raised an awesome…£4259.81! And, on top of that, Sally Hoyle (INTO University Partnerships employee) raised an amazing £261.20 through our iGive campaign for Cancer Research UK. Because she fundraised through iGive, we’ve added 20% to make her total for CRUK, with GiftAid, £356.25!

We couldn’t be more grateful and excited with such a fantastic total!

Katy Hancock, Niamh O’Ryan, George Titlow, Joe Westbrook and Sally Hoyle, our five superhumans, absolutely smashed the 26.2 miles! Katy, Niamh & Sally are all INTO University Partnerships employees and George's employer has pledged to match fund his total raised - Thank you American Express! Katy, ran her SECOND consecutive Brighton Marthon for INTO Giving, and dressed as a chicken on a friend's request who paid £100 for the pleasure! Joe, ran as 'Fiona', because his friend Gemma donated £50 to see him do it (a childhood joke, apparently...) They all finished with smiles on their faces – They are, quite simply, beautiful beings!

“Running the Brighton marathon for INTO giving is probably the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me and I thought I’d peaked after seeing Olivia Colman coming out of a toilet.” Niamh O’Ryan

Thank you to everyone who donated to their pages and supported them around the course. They’ve said that the shouts and cheers were like rocket fuel!
