INTO Giving hold their third annual #INTOCycling fundraiser

The only International fundraiser of the year...

INTO Centres cycle great distances to show support for our projects across the world..

08 May 2018

For the third year running, INTO Centres got together to raise money by cycling as fast and as far as possible on a static bike.

This year they raised a staggering £2587.50 or $3493.91, every penny of this will be matched and go to funding education projects across the world. As a group, they cycled an impressive 3972.19km - The same as cycling all the way across Europe -  From London to Istanbul (and actually a bit further!)

“We loved watching the participation from those involved and the dedication and competitiveness that came with the event...” Naomi Cromby, Fundraising and Communications Officer, INTO Giving.

The INTO Giving team, of course, have some special mentions... Firstly, to INTO OSU for being the clear winner with both their distance cycled and their totals raised - seriously impressive work all of you and congratulations! You'll be the ones to watch and beat next year!

We'd also like to thank INTO Stirling for trying their best to take part but were sadly unable to as they were without a bike at the last hour.

The overall individual winner is an A-Level student, Georgy Godelashvili , from INTO UEA, who retained his title from last year. This year he cycled an amazing 25.9km in 30 minutes! Congratulations to him!

We'd like to say a separate thank you to Uni Student Storage who sponsored our event and provided bike seat covers to help promote in centres. And a big thank you to Pure Gym who stepped in and provided INTO Newcastle and the Brighton office with an exercise bike last minute enabling the event to go ahead...Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who got involved, whether you donated or cycled or liked a post on our social media, you helped make the event the fun few days it was and ultimately helped raise an amazing amount of funds for our education projects...congratulations again to the individual winners, we’ll be contacting you to discuss giving you your prize!

You can watch UEA's team cycling away below...

Much Love
